because of us. And I love what I do - Karen B, Arcadia manager
- Gloria B., Arcadia family member
We don’t hire for skill, because we can teach skill. The heart we can’t teach.
We want our staff to actually care and want to be here and treat our residents as family members.” - Shannon Daisey (Arcadia Admissions Director)
and that they definitely know that every resident is unique”
- Tina K, Arcadia family member
It’s small, and I feel like the smallness of it increases the quality of care”
- Grace S, Arcadia family member
they go above and beyond to make their residents happy. They make the days special, you can tell that all of them love what they do." - Amy C, Arcadia visitor
during her stay with you all. She loved you all very much which made her stay there very comfortable." - Pat D, Arcadia family member
Everyone was so kind and helpful to him - and to us. Knowing that he was in such a caring environment at Arcadia gave us tremendous peace of mind. For that we can never thank you enough!" - Sherry A., Arcadia family member
you all made him as comfortable as possible. You treated my father with dignity, kindness, and respect, and for that my family and I are very grateful." - Peggy H., Arcadia family member
The level of care that my mom received from you and your staff was over and above anything that was possibly imagined." -Bernie F, Arcadia family member
We can't thank you enough for all you did for our mom/grandma. We knew every minute of every day she was in good hands!" - Kathy, Arcadia family member
After spending 3 years in a fancy, expensive concierge assisted living community, my mom's declining condition highlighted that we were only paying for a fancy building. We started to look for alternatives and took a look at the 15-bed Arcadia community. We thought about the Assisted Living first, but my mom was declining and needed memory care. Since the day she joined Arcadia Crofton in November 2022 I realized for the first time in 3 years that I could sleep well knowing that she was well cared for and her needs were met. The building didn't have that fancy concierge lobby, but you realize quickly how little that matters. The staff are AMAZING! Like every other healthcare facility these days, turnover continues to be an issue. However, every time a new staff member is hired at Arcadia, they're professional, compassionate, friendly and caring. That speaks highly to the management quality. I can't say enough good things about our experience over the last 6 months. I highly recommend Arcadia Crofton! "

They keep me up to date on what is going on, they have facilitated additional care for for my father. The facility is clean. I am very happy with the level of care (and my father is a handful). He is definitely doing better then when he arrived. " - Ann Leaf
The staff was so caring towards my Mon. She was put into Hospice shortly after they took over and they were wonderful to her. They made her last 3 months as great as they could. They were very kind to me when she was dying and packed all of her things for me so I didn’t have to. I’m an ER nurse and I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place for a loved one!!!! " - Nancy Wilson
We very much liked the staff and residents there and will miss them. We looked at several assisted living homes in the area and this one was, by far the best. The home/room was spacious enough for the wheelchairs and walkers that are required by most, if not all the residents. And it was very nicely decorated throughout with different sections for the residents to watch TV together, make puzzles, play games, etc. The rooms are just enough and you are welcome to decorate it to make it as much like "home" as possible for your loved one. The residents are encouraged to come out and participate with the other residents but are not forced to do so if they prefer to remain in their rooms and do their own thing. They always had three home cooked meals prepared and were willing to offer any special snacks you provide if requested.
The staff is caring, kind and actually enjoy their job, which is a very difficult one to say the least. If any issue should arise they are quick to communicate with you in an attempt to work with your family to do what is best for your loved one; and they make themselves available to you should you have any questions or issues that need addressing. Visitors are welcome anytime unannounced. " - Susan Toczylowski
I can honestly say after being in the healthcare field for over 20 years now, that this is hands down the best place I've been. I know I am here to help others in a time that is very difficult for them. For families, to find that special place, that the family can sleep knowing their loved one is safe, and loved as they do. For me, it's not "just a job". Instead, it is just me helping others in need, what I love to do, just like all of the Arcadia staff. The standard for Arcadia is held very high, we all just want the best for our residents, they are our family, Arcadia is family to all of us! " - Shannon Seigler
I found the staff to be very kind as well as patient with some residence that needed " a little extra help". The entire facility from what I could see was extremely clean as well as my Aunt's bedroom and bath. There were no unpleasant odors that are often present in some facilities and nursing homes. It was nice that the common areas and my Aunt's room have a very" home like feel" unlike some facilities that are more institutional like. She has her own furnishings, pictures and personal items that help to make it feel more like home to her. There is also a large back yard that she enjoys.
It's hard when family has to make the decision to place a resident, but it is comforting to know they are taken care of and safe. I think Arcadia provides both. " - Denise Boggs
When entering the house, you’re immediately greeted with the smells of home cooked meals and the sounds of residents humming along to classic music. The activities director, Christine, spends every moment she’s there engaging the residents in a variety of fun activities such as decorating cookies, sharing stories, & playing games. It truly feels like stepping into the home of one big family. " - Madeleine McDonough
Having been in this industry for over 25 years, I have been employed by many companies. For the first time, I feel consistently valued.
I see our owner sincerely care for and nurture her employees and team. She understands that the only way to provide exceptional care is to invest in her team and hold each team member to higher standards. This is the key to Arcadia providing exceptional service to our residents and families. " - Amie Denayer
so much love into her job. My mom is at this location and she just absolutely adores Christine. Christine treats the residents like they are family. She arranges activities that all residents are capable of being involved in given the physical constraints that come with age. I’m thankful that Arcadia has such a dedicated employee who truly cares about these residents. " - Wendy Gaver
He lives in New Jersey and I was hoping he would move to Maryland. I looked at many places and took information back to him. It’s easy to evaluate data and pictures but much harder to “get a feel” for a place. I found Denton Arcadia to be a warm & welcoming place. I told him about the rooms, that he could bring his “stuff” and about the activities and my impression of the house. He can be a picky eater but seemed satisfied with the menu (that’s saying a lot!). He liked the pictures I took back but mostly he appreciated the comfortable “feeling” I got when I visited. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. And the answered every question I had (through my numerous calls! Sadly, dad passed away before I could move him but his selection of Denton was absolute! Thank you all so very much for everything Arcadia staff! " - Bess Muir
My mother is going through one of the most difficult times in her life. She has Parkinson’s and it has progressed to the point of her having hallucinations and is in extreme depression. She has had to be separated from my father and to say the least she is not taking it well. Christine Marie is just about the only person that can put a smile on my mother’s face with her compassion and warm and gentle spirit. She has been such a positive light for my mother and we are so grateful that she is with Arcadia. " - Stacy Coldwell
Arcadia of Denton has been by far the best. The staff has been very responsive and wonderful to work with. Mom has been happy here. What more can you ask for? A big thank you to Shannon, Amie, Karen, Christine and the rest of the staff! " - David Calloway
The small size feels like home, and the home cooked meals really make it feel comfortable! " - Edward Connelly
